Hey there, I'm Heather. The owner of Connected by Love Adoptions.

I was born and raised in Cocoa Beach, Florida. After graduating college, I traveled and moved around the US quite a bit. I have 3 “kiddos”, two of whom are teens and one is an adult and is on active duty in the military.

I began my career in the Counseling/Social Work field nearly 20 years ago. I was drawn to the field after emerging from a very troubled childhood and being stuck in the foster care system.

I am a passionate professional dedicated to working with families and children as they strive to create healthy home environments and provide children with the stable and safe environment they long for.

A few fun facts about me:

• I drink waaayyyy too much chai tea.
• I LOVE a good bakery.
• Most people peg me to be super outgoing and extroverted (but in reality, I am actually really introverted and a total creature of habit).
• I love traveling and find every excuse to go explore new places.

Home studies start at the cost listed below and can vary depending on package type and additional mileage.

Meet Anne Moody!

Anne Moody has been the co-director of an agency specializing in infant adoption for the past twenty-four years. She is the author of The Children Money Can Buy: Stories from the Frontlines of Foster Care and Adoption, and The Baby Market: The Case for Adoption Reform published in 2018 and 2023 by Rowman and Littlefield. She is also an adoptive parent and both her professional and personal background inform her work as an adoption specialist who advises clients on all aspects of the adoption experience.

What do you love about working with adoptive families? 
I appreciate the opportunity to meet new people and explore all the facets of adoption with them. Each family is interesting and special to me and I feel privileged to be part of their adoption process. 

In your opinion, what is the best part of the home study?

I especially enjoy seeing people transition from feeling nervous or pessimistic to feeling relaxed, confident, and well-prepared to take on the adoption process and parenthood.

How much does a home study cost?

Home studies start at $1900 plus travel fees and vary depending on the package type, Core or Complete.
